SRBC Food Pantry
An outreach to those in need in the Dayton & Kettering area.
FOOD PANTRY – APRIL 2008
During the month of April we had thirty-three (33) visitors to our Food Pantry. Sixteen (16) of those visited the Food Pantry for the first time.
Since April of 2007 we have seen a steady increase in use of the SRBC Food Pantry. Due to that increase we give each visitor a pre-bagged kit of items. Each kit includes food, personal care items and a beverage kit. In addition to these items visitors to the Food Pantry are able to choose two items from a variety of donated foods and one item from a personal care table.
The cost of each kit is $10.40 not including items taken from the tables, the personal care kit and the beverage kit. Our supplies of groceries and funds are running low. If you would like to help you can donate a kit or write a check to SRBC and write “Food Pantry” in the memo.
Those who visit the Food Pantry are grateful for the help they receive. Several visitors have donated food to the Pantry when their circumstances have improved. The Food Pantry has been a vital ministry to this community – thank you so much for your contributions.
